Freelance Writer Jobs

I’m not even sure if this is the correct term but the way it was described to me is that a person who is a freelance writer and loves to travel. The articles you would write is about the things you saw on your travels. Where can I get some info on this? Such as their salaries, the job profile etc.

People who write columns in magazines and newspapers…and what kind of topics do newspapers and magazines want written on? What kind of experience do these writers need to obtain these jobs?

I am interested in going back to school. I want a job where I can go to work early and come home early and get benefis. I would like to find that in writing. Everyone tells me go to the medical field.

I’m doing a report on the magazine industry. I am interested in finding out the average salary of staff writers and freelance writers. Also, I want to know what the outlook is for the field and about publications that welcome first time writers. I’ve already tried salary.com and those types of websites. IS there any magazine association with this information?

I’m currently a desktop publisher at a Commercial Real Estate brokerage, but was wondering what other options there are with my background. I have a degree in Communication, minored in Literature, and a dream job would be to write and/or edit. What options other than being a starving artist are there?

I’d like to mange online chat rooms or act as a company response person working with people writing in. Can’t find job categories like that.

For as long as I can remember I have sought a career that would permit me to read, write, and be creative. I am only aware of two jobs/careers that would permit these things: freelance writer and textual translator. However, despite countless web searches, I have been unable to find much information regarding either topic.

Are there any freelance writers or textual translators (particularly of the German to English/ English to German) that might be able to provide me with some information? Or can point me in the right direction to obtain information?

Hi guys,I’m currently in London and considering New York. Have a PG dip in publishing, several editorial internships under my belt and good experience as a freelance writer. However feel there would be better opportunities in the states as trying to get a publishing job in London is incredibly frustrating at the mo. Want to get a job in New York but not sure how to go about it. Any good advice would be appreciated , please no rude or sarcastic responses. Thanks

I am a freelance writer and editor in Cincinnati, Ohio who works for a variety of business and individual clients to meet their writing needs.
I have recently familiarized myself with the Grant Writing process, and have taken some courses on the topic.
How do I gain practical experience in the field? Are there any internships or entry level jobs available in this specialty? I am specifically interested in grant and proposal writing for non-profits.
